These partner organizations have a rich history of pro-voter education and advocacy and represent a diverse group of historically disenfranchised communities across the state of Michigan.

The ACLU of Michigan believes the defense of civil liberties knows no party bounds, which is why the ACLU remains nonpartisan. Protecting our liberties and pushing for more freedom and equality in our lives is our job.

The ACLU of Michigan’s mission remains realizing the promise of the Bill of Rights which declared that we have rights and liberties that the government shouldn’t interfere with. Rights like the freedom of speech and our right to a speedy trial that are the cornerstone of our democracy and define what makes us American.

America Votes was founded in 2003 with the idea that we can create more change in our country if we work together. Our work is centered on fostering a culture of strong civic participation, voter engagement and mobilization, and advocating for fair, modern elections.

Detroit Action is a union of Black and Brown, low and no-income, homeless and housing insecure Detroiters fighting for housing and economic justice. They are a grassroots and member-led, multigenerational, community-based organization fighting for real political power.

Detroit Action provides opportunities for individuals and families to develop as full human beings through leadership development workshops, organizer internships, nonpartisan voter education and mobilization drives, direct action, and collaboration with allied organizations locally, statewide, nationally, and even internationally.

We are People with disabilities building power and inclusive social justice movements. We work to dismantle the very real structural and cultural challenges facing us. We organize for the policy and systems change we need and want, therefore, making tangible changes in people’s lives and shifting power to those most affected by issues.

Miigwech Inc. is a non-profit with 501c3 status, tribally incorporated with Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians. Our board is composed of Indigenous women, from Federally Recognized tribes. Our acting director facilitated the participation of our tribal people across Michigan for the Michigan Redistricting process.

Our organization is driven by a single goal: to promote and practice Mino-Bimaadiziwin (The Good Life) by making our community a better place for all. We strive to have the voices of our community represented and heard.

The Michigan League for Public Policy is a nonpartisan policy institute dedicated to economic opportunity for all. It is the only state-level organization that addresses poverty in a comprehensive way and analyzes the impact of state and federal budgets and policies on residents with low incomes.
