 The following is a breakdown of where local residents can vote in person prior to the Tuesday, Nov. 5 General Election in the tri-county area. Hours vary so be sure to check your particular polling location’s hours.

Fenton Township residents

Early voting begins Saturday, Oct. 26

Location: Fenton Township Civic Community Center, 12060 Mantawauka Dr., Fenton

Hours: Saturday, Oct. 26 to Sunday, Nov. 3 are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the exception of Wednesday, Oct. 30, which has early voting hours of 12 to 8 p.m.

Tyrone Township residents

Early voting begins Saturday, Oct. 26

Location: Tyrone Township Hall, 8420 Runyan Lake Rd., Fenton

Hours: Saturday, Oct. 26 to Sunday, Nov. 3, hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fenton City residents

Early voting begins Saturday, Oct. 26

Location: Fenton City Hall, 301 S. LeRoy St., Fenton

Hours: Saturday, Oct. 26 to Sunday, Nov. 3, hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the exception of Wednesday, Oct. 30 that has hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Holly Village residents

Early voting begins Saturday, Oct. 26

Location: Springfield Oaks Activity Center, 12451 Andersonville Rd., Davisburg

Hours: Saturday, Oct. 26 to Sunday, Nov. 3, hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the exception of Thursday, Oct. 31, which has hours of 12 to 8 p.m.

Holly Township residents

Early voting begins Saturday, Oct. 26

Location: Springfield Oaks Activity Center, 12451 Andersonville Rd., Davisburg

Hours: Saturday, Oct. 26 to Sunday, Nov. 3, hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the exception of Thursday, Oct. 31, which has hours of 12 to 8 p.m.

Argentine Township residents

Early voting begins Saturday, Oct. 26

Location: Argentine Township Hall, 9048 Silver Lake Rd., Linden

Hours: Saturday, Oct. 26 and Sunday, Oct. 27 is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Monday, Oct. 28 to Friday, Nov. 1 is 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 2 and Sunday, Nov. 3 is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Linden City residents

Early voting begins Saturday, Oct. 26

Location: Linden Community Center, 105 Mill St., Linden

Hours: Saturday, Oct. 26 to Sunday, Nov. 3 is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Rose Township residents

Early voting begins Saturday, Oct. 26

Location: Springfield Oaks Activity Center, 12451 Andersonville Rd., Davisburg

Hours: Saturday, Oct. 26 to Sunday, Nov. 3, hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the exception of Thursday, Oct. 31, which has hours of 12 to 8 p.m.

Where did nine days of early voting came from?

• State Proposal 22-2: Constitutional Amendment – promote the vote

 Voters in Michigan passed this proposal in November 2022, by a vote of 2,576,796 (59.98%) to 1,719,577 (40.02%).

 This constitutional amendment:

• Recognizes fundamental right to vote without harassing conduct;

• Requires military or overseas ballots be counted if postmarked by election day;

• Provides voter right to verify identity with photo ID or signed statement;

• Provides voter right to single application to vote absentee in all elections;

• Requires state-funded absentee-ballot drop boxes, and postage for absentee applications and ballots;

• Provides that only election officials may conduct post-election audits;

• Requires nine days of early in-person voting;

• Allows donations to fund elections, which must be disclosed;

• Requires canvass boards certify election results based only on the official records of votes cast
